If we were to do this experiment again, we would construct the wheel out of sturdier parts and take more variables into consideration. Our device only generated 1.3 Watts at peak efficiency, 1/3rd of our predicted amount. We attribute this problem to the loss of energy due to friction and the dissipation of the force of water from splashing everywhere. Next time we probably would construct a closed system for the gutter generator and hopefully, that would ensure better efficiency.

We would have also tried harder simulating rainy conditions. Using a hose may not be the best choice and we think that next time perhaps we’ll try a reservoir.

Finally, we would secure our invention to the ground next time to stop the inconsistent placements from affecting the results.
